Formula 2 Spa 2026:Rafael Camara Leads Action-Packed Race After Safety Car Drama
The Formula 2 feature race at Spa began with Invicta Racing’s Rafael Camara starting from pole position, while championship leader Nikola Tsolov lined up fourth on the grid. However, the Brazilian made a poor start and immediately lost the lead to Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak. The opening lap was filled with incidents, with several crashes bringing out the Safety Car. After the restart, Tsolov attempted to challenge Camara, but contact between the two drivers damaged the Bulgarian’s front wing, causing him to lose several positions. Camara soon made his mandatory pit stop, allowing Joshua Durksen to move into the lead. The race was then halted again with red flags following a heavy crash involving Laurens van Hoepen. The driver escaped unharmed, although his car and the trackside barriers sustained significant damage. Once racing resumed, the battle intensified. Further yellow flags created additional changes in the order, and after another restart, Camara returned to the lead. He was followed by Alex Dunne, Noel Leon, Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, and Nikola Tsolov, who recovered to rejoin the top five.
