F2 Spa Qualifying 2026:Rafael Camara Takes Pole Position After Rain and Red Flag

Formula 2 qualifying at Spa took place in challenging conditions, with light rain beginning during the Formula 3 session and continuing ahead of the F2 qualifying session. All drivers started the session on slick tyres, carefully assessing the available grip levels. The first incident occurred immediately, as Campos Racing driver Noel Leon spun after the Eau Rouge section. Due to the dangerous location of the stranded car, the session was suspended with red flags, although León was able to recover and return to the pits before continuing. In the opening stages, the leading positions were occupied by the main contenders for pole position Alex Dunne, Rafael Camara, and championship leader Nikola Tsolov. The final phase of qualifying was disrupted by the stoppage of Laurens van Hoepen and additional red flags, leaving drivers with only a few minutes for their final attempts. In the closing moments, Camara set the fastest lap of the session with a time of 1:56.306, securing his third pole position of the season. Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak qualified second, while Alex Dunne took third place. Nikola Tsolov ended the session in fourth, while Noel Leon, who qualified tenth, secured pole position for the Sprint Race thanks to the reverse-grid format used in Formula 2.
