A New Chapter Begins:Verstappen on Red Bull’s 2026 Transformation
During the Red Bull and Ford presentation in Detroit, key representatives of the team and its power unit project took to the stage, as cars built in Milton Keynes will enter competition with in-house developed power units for the first time starting in 2026.
Particular attention was focused on Max Verstappen. The four-time World Champion appeared highly enthusiastic and in excellent spirits, noting that the new livery matched exactly how he had envisioned the race car.
Verstappen stated that the updated design looks more striking and refined, while the chosen shade of blue his personal favorite perfectly complements Red Bull’s signature identity. At the same time, he emphasized that the team is facing a significant transition period, with a new engine, a completely redesigned car, and revised dimensions all requiring time for adaptation.
For that reason, Verstappen stressed the importance of pre-season testing, which will be crucial in allowing the team to complete as many laps as possible and optimize the car’s performance.
Having finished the previous season on a strong note and narrowly missing out on a fifth world title, Verstappen is aiming to maintain that momentum and looks ahead with confidence, describing the start of the new season as the beginning of an important and exciting new chapter.
