Battle for the Lead Intensifies in Formula 2 as Championship Heats Up

The fight for the Formula 2 Drivers’ Championship continues to intensify—not just with every race, but in every session. Following the Monaco round, the current championship leader is Luke Browning of Hitech, a member of the Williams Driver Academy.

Looking ahead to Sunday’s Feature Race, Arvid Lindblad will start from pole position. Lining up alongside him on the front row will be Sebastian Montoya. The second row will feature Kush Maini in his distinctive pink Dallara and Invicta Racing’s Roman Stanek in his yellow car.

Rounding out the top six are Alexander Dunne and Richard Verschoor—both key contenders in the title battle. However, Dunne has been handed a ten-place grid penalty for aggressive driving earlier in the Monaco weekend. This penalty is expected to primarily affect his starting position for Saturday’s Sprint Race.

In the Sprint Race, Leonardo Fornaroli, who qualified tenth, will start from pole position due to the reverse grid format. With a strong desire to convert his starting advantage into victory, Fornaroli is expected to be a major contender.
