Anar Alakbarov Appointed to FIA Senate

Anar Alakbarov, President of the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation, has been appointed as a member of the Senate of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).

The FIA Senate is the organization’s highest governing body, responsible for overseeing financial and commercial matters as well as the overall management of the FIA. It plays a key role in shaping standards in motor sport, promoting road safety, and supporting the development of the automotive industry.

The Senate consists of 16 members, including the Senate President, FIA President, Vice Presidents, and representatives from FIA member clubs affiliated with the Mobility and Tourism Council and the Motor Sport Council.

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem commented: "I am pleased to welcome Anar Alakbarov to the FIA Senate. His distinguished background in public service, international diplomacy, and culture, combined with his deep passion for motor sport, makes him a valuable addition to our leadership team."
