Antonelli Continues Championship Charge in Canada
Canadian Grand Prix took place in challenging weather conditions, with rain repeatedly affecting the weekend and leaving the circuit slippery and damp throughout the event. Despite the forecasts, the race avoided heavy rainfall, although teams were forced to carefully balance tyre strategy and constantly changing grip levels.
Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team maintained a clear advantage throughout the weekend. George Russell won both qualifying sessions and the sprint race, while Andrea Kimi Antonelli emerged as the standout performer in Sunday’s Grand Prix. The Italian secured his fourth consecutive victory, further extending his lead in the championship standings.
Lewis Hamilton finished second, achieving his best result so far with Scuderia Ferrari, while Max Verstappen completed the podium in third place. Only three drivers finished on the lead lap, further underlining the pace advantage of the frontrunners in Montreal.
