Antonelli Tops British GP Qualifying to Seal Fifth Pole
Following his Sprint victory earlier on Saturday, Kimi Antonelli carried his momentum into qualifying by securing pole position for the British Grand Prix, marking his fifth pole of the season.
The opening qualifying session was disrupted twice by yellow flags. George Russell ran into the gravel after an off-track excursion, while Franco Colapinto's session ended in the barriers following a spin. Isack Hadjar topped the timesheets in Q1 with an impressive lap.
Q2 saw the fastest time traded between Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and Antonelli, with the Mercedes driver ultimately finishing the session at the top.
Antonelli then produced an even quicker lap of 1:28.111 in the decisive final segment to seal pole position in commanding fashion.Leclerc will join him on the front row,with Hamilton and Russell lining up on the second row. Hadjar will start ahead of Max Verstappen for the second time this season.
