McLaren Secures 1-2 Finish at the Spanish Grand Prix
The ninth race of the season has concluded, with a dominant performance from McLaren at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The team secured a 1-2 finish, underlining its strong form.
McLaren driver Oscar Piastri was the fastest throughout Friday and Saturday practice sessions and also excelled during qualifying. Pirelli supplied C1, C2, and C3 tire compounds for the event—Hard, Medium, and Soft.
A dramatic moment came on lap 61 when a restart was announced, but Piastri managed to maintain his lead despite the pressure. The Australian crossed the finish line in first place, followed by teammate Lando Norris in second. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc completed the podium in third.
The next round of the championship will take place in Canada. The Montreal Grand Prix is scheduled from June 13 to 15.
