Bottas&Perez to Lead Cadillac into 2026 Season

The American team, backed by General Motors, has opted for experience:in 2026, Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas will drive for the outfit.Between them, they have contested 527 Formula 1 races and secured 16 victories.

Team Principal Graeme Lowdon described the signing of the two veterans as a “statement of intent,” emphasizing that their experience, leadership, and racing instincts will be instrumental in building a competitive team. He also expressed gratitude to Mercedes for their cooperation.

Perez stated that from the very beginning, he sensed the passion and ambition behind the Cadillac project. He expressed pride in being part of the formation of a new American team and hopes it will eventually become a contender for victories.

Bottas described the Cadillac project as both realistic and promising. He noted that being involved in building a team from the ground up is a rare opportunity.He is proud to be part of an iconic American brand as it enters the Formula 1 stage.
