As Cadillac prepares for its entry into the Formula 1 World Championship next season, the team is reportedly evaluating rising Formula 2 talent Alex Dunne as a candidate for its 2026 driver lineup. While the American outfit has yet to formally announce its roster, multiple sources within the motorsport community suggest that negotiations with veteran driver Valtteri Bottas are nearing completion, with only final documentation pending.
Team Principal Graeme Lowdon has previously indicated that Cadillac intends to pair an experienced driver with a promising young talent as part of its long-term vision. While Aston Martin reserve driver Felipe Drugovich has frequently been mentioned as a leading contender for the second seat, recent reports also place Alex Dunne firmly in the running.
Dunne, currently in his debut Formula 2 campaign, has delivered an impressive performance throughout the season — securing two race victories, six podium finishes, two pole positions, and two fastest laps.
