Cupra Leads Madrid e-Prix

This year, Madrid will host two major motorsport premieres. On 21 March, the historic Circuito de Madrid Jarama will stage its first-ever Formula E round, and in September, the city will hold the Spanish Grand Prix at the newly constructed MadRing circuit.

The organizers of the electric racing series announced that Cupra the performance-oriented brand of SEAT, part of the Volkswagen Group has become the title partner of the Madrid e-Prix. Cupra vehicles will serve as the official transport for the event, and spectators will also see the brand’s newest electric model, the Raval, which is set to debut in 2026.

Alberto Longo, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Formula E, emphasized that Spain’s passion for motorsport was a decisive factor in selecting Madrid as a host for a World Championship round. He noted that Cupra’s support is crucial and highlights the ambition to make the inaugural race in the Spanish capital a world-class event.

The series already features the Cupra Kiro team, represented by Spanish driver Pepe Martí and British driver Dan Ticktum, who claimed his first victory last season.
