Domenicali:Italian GP is a Symbol of F1’s Heritage

Stefano Domenicali spoke at a press conference in the Italian town of Brianza dedicated to the upcoming Italian Grand Prix. “This round holds special significance both for Formula 1 and for our country: the Italian Grand Prix embodies sporting and cultural heritage and has always been a fixture in the championship calendar,” noted the Formula 1 President, who addressed participants via video link. “It is wonderful that Italy continues to be represented by the legendary Ferrari, while Racing Bulls is also making its presence increasingly felt, as demonstrated by Isack Hadjar’s recent podium finish.”

The head of the championship emphasized that Monza stands alongside such prestigious rounds as Singapore, Miami, Las Vegas, and Abu Dhabi. “Our duty is to make the maximum effort every year and invest in development so that both the race experience and visits to the circuit become ever more comfortable and rewarding for spectators, teams, and staff. We must continue to set ourselves increasingly ambitious goals,” Domenicali added.

This Friday in Brianza, located just thirty minutes from Monza, a meeting will take place with the promoters of all championship rounds, during which they, together with the Formula 1 leadership, will discuss long-term plans for the future.

When asked whether the efforts made by the Monza circuit organizers and local authorities are sufficient to meet Formula 1’s requirements, Domenicali responded: “At present, a certain balance has been achieved; we are progressing at the pace of a middle-distance runner. However, it is essential to create even more favorable conditions for the fans. Starting on September 8, the day after the race, the organizers must begin implementing our recommendations, as there is still a great deal of work ahead.”
