F1 Sequel won’t be Rushed
At present, the feature film F1: The Movie—a dramatization inspired by Formula 1—is enjoying a global theatrical release. One of its producers is none other than racing superstar Lewis Hamilton. According to official sources, the film’s box office earnings have already surpassed $390 million. Many motorsport fans have speculated that a sequel might be in the works. However, Lewis Hamilton believes that now is not the right time.
Lewis Hamilton stated:
“If I had known that a sequel was being planned, I wouldn’t be telling you about it. I have heard people talking on this topic, but we only recently finished the project. The creation of the film took four years. A tremendous amount of work was done, especially by Joe [Kosinski, the director]. I think now is not the time to rush into making a sequel. In particular, a follow‑up might not turn out well. I believe there’s no need to hurry. If we do decide to make a sequel, we will strive to make it even better.”
