Ferrari Reveals SF-26 for 2026
Ferrari usually prefers to keep the suspense until the very last moment, revealing the name of a new car during the official launch accompanied by camera flashes, applause from guests, and close attention from the press. However, for 2026, the team decided to depart from this traditional approach and announced the name of its new car without ceremony, opting instead for a post on social media.
Following the tradition of recent seasons, the name once again includes the abbreviation SF (Scuderia Ferrari) combined with the last two digits of the year. Consequently, the 2026 car has been designated SF-26. In previous years, the team strictly adhered to this naming scheme, emphasizing continuity and brand recognition.
The last time Ferrari deviated from the standard naming convention was in 2022, when the car was named SF-75 in honor of the 75th anniversary of the company’s first road car. On that occasion, the designation was not merely a technical identifier but also a symbol of the brand’s rich heritage.
The official presentation of the Ferrari SF-26 is scheduled for January 23, where the team will reveal the first details of its new project, marking the next chapter in Scuderia Ferrari’s history in Formula 1.
