FIA Adds Cameras to F1 Garages

The FIA has approved a series of amendments to the Formula 1 Sporting Regulations, placing particular emphasis on ensuring compliance with parc ferme conditions.

The key change is the introduction of a mandatory video surveillance system. Each car will be assigned a dedicated “parc ferme camera,” which teams are required to install within their garages. The device must be positioned directly above the car, providing a clear and continuous view of all surrounding activity.

The system will operate throughout the entire race weekend, enabling the recording of any actions performed on the car. This will allow FIA officials to monitor and review potential interventions, thereby reducing the likelihood of unauthorized modifications going undetected.
