Formula 2 Title Battle Heats Up as Tsolov Wins in Austria

The Formula 2 Feature Race at the Red Bull Ring delivered another crucial chapter in the championship battle. Nikola Tsolov made a superb start, overtaking his Campos Racing teammate Noel Leon in the opening corners to seize the lead. The Safety Car was deployed on the opening lap following a collision involving Joshua Durksen, Rafael Villagomez and Sebastian Montoya, with the latter two forced to retire.

After the restart, Campos Racing split the strategies of its two drivers, while Tsolov overcame a slight delay during his mandatory pit stop to retain his advantage over Alex Dunne and Gabriele Mini. The Bulgarian withstood sustained pressure from his championship rivals before reclaiming the net lead following the final round of pit stops.

The battle for the remaining podium places intensified in the closing stages, with Dunne, Mini, Rafael Camara and Oliver Goethe fighting for position. Benefiting from fresher tyres, Goethe charged through the field to secure third place and claim his maiden Formula 2 podium.

Tsolov controlled the closing laps to take his fourth victory of the season, finishing almost four seconds ahead of Mini. The result reduced his deficit to the championship leader to just two points, while also strengthening Campos Racing's lead in the Teams' Championship.
