McLaren Announces Reserve Drivers for the 2026 Season

McLaren has revealed its lineup of reserve drivers for the 2026 season: Formula 2 champion Leonardo Fornaroli and Arrow McLaren IndyCar star Pato O’Ward.

Fornaroli has also been appointed as a test and development driver, with an extensive testing program and intensive simulator work planned for him. O’Ward will continue to combine his role as a Formula 1 reserve driver with his racing commitments in IndyCar.

At the same time, McLaren has confirmed its 2026 junior program, which includes promising drivers from Formula 4, Formula 3, F1 Academy, and endurance racing series.

The team emphasizes that the focus is on the future and on developing drivers for Formula 1, IndyCar, and McLaren’s upcoming endurance racing projects.
