Alpine to Replace Jack Doohan with Franco Colapinto for Next Five Races

According to RaceBrief.com, Alpine has announced that Franco Colapinto will replace Jack Doohan for the next five races. The French team has made this decision in order to evaluate the capabilities of both drivers.

Starting from the next round, Colapinto will take over Doohan’s seat. The young driver’s performance will be assessed ahead of the British Grand Prix in July. During this period, Jack Doohan will remain with the team as a reserve driver.

Franco Colapinto will race under number 43. The Argentine driver is set to compete for Alpine at the upcoming Grands Prix in Imola, Monaco, Spain, Canada, and Austria.

It is worth noting that Colapinto made his Formula 1 debut at the 2024 Italian Grand Prix, stepping in for Logan Sargeant.
