Frijns Ends Envision Chapter
Envision Racing and Robin Frijns Announce the End of Their Collaboration Again
Envision Racing and Robin Frijns have confirmed the end of their partnership though this is not the first time the experienced Dutch driver has parted ways with the team. Frijns first joined Envision in Season 5 of Formula E (2018), left for ABT Cupra at the end of 2022, and returned to the British-Chinese outfit in 2023. During his time with the team, he secured two race victories and stood on the podium 13 times.
Team Principal Sylvain Filippi acknowledged Frijns’ contributions:
"Robin is a natural racer with exceptional pace. He played an important role in many of our successes, but Formula E is always evolving, and it’s time for change. We will soon announce our driver line-up for Season 12."
According to The Race, Frijns was informed of the team’s decision earlier this month. He is now aiming to secure a seat with another Formula E team while continuing his program with BMW in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). Envision is expected to announce Sébastien Buemi’s new teammate in early September.
