From Fifth to First:Tsolov Takes Silverstone Victory

Nikola Tsolov claimed victory in the Formula 2 Feature Race at Silverstone, extending his championship lead after a commanding drive.

The race began with early drama as Martinius Stenshorne failed to make the starting grid after his Rodin Motorsport car suffered a technical problem on the way to the grid.

Pole-sitter Rafael Camara lost the lead at the start, with Kush Maini making an excellent launch to move into first place. Tsolov also enjoyed a superb opening lap, climbing from fifth on the grid to second.

The decisive battle unfolded after the mandatory pit stops, as the Campos Racing driver closed in on Maini before executing a brilliant pass through the high-speed Maggotts–Becketts sequence on Lap 21.

Once the pit-stop cycle was completed,Tsolov moved into the lead and gradually pulled clear of the field. The Bulgarian comfortably controlled the remainder of the race to secure his third consecutive victory and sixth win of the 2026 Formula 2 season.

Rafael Villagomez finished second after using his fresher tyres to overtake Maini in the closing stages, leaving the ART driver to complete the podium in third. Former championship leader Gabriele Minì crossed the line in sixth place.

The result sees Tsolov strengthen his position at the top of the Formula 2 standings, extending his advantage in the Drivers' Championship to 17 points.
