From Rookie to Podium:Hadjar Stuns with P3 at Zandvoort
Hajjar on the Podium, Lawson Outside the Points: A Contrasting Weekend for Racing Bulls in Zandvoort
Isack Hadjar became the 219th driver in Formula 1 history to step onto the podium. With his third-place finish, the Frenchman moved up to 10th in the Drivers’ Championship, while Racing Bulls climbed to seventh in the Constructors’ Standings.
Hadjar (P3): “The result still feels a bit surreal. The car felt great throughout the weekend I stayed consistent and avoided mistakes. Of course, Lando Norris’ retirement helped, but we executed a flawless race. Reaching the podium has been a dream of mine since childhood, and I hope this is just the beginning.”
His teammate, Liam Lawson, was less fortunate. After contact with Carlos Sainz, he suffered a puncture, dropped back, and ultimately finished 12th.
Lawson (P12): “Carlos took a risk in slippery conditions we made contact, and he was penalized. It ruined my race, which is frustrating. I’d prefer to discuss the incident with him directly rather than through the media. That said, I’m happy for the team and for Isack he drove brilliantly and fully earned this podium. We’re heading into Monza with a positive mindset.”
