Gasly and Alpine Extend Partnership Through 2028
Pierre Gasly and the Alpine team have signed a new long-term contract that will run until the end of the 2028 season. Recently, Flavio Briatore described the Frenchman as the “cornerstone of the team.” In the current championship, it is Gasly who has scored all twenty points currently on Alpine’s tally, while his teammates Jack Doohan and Franco Colapinto have yet to add to the team’s total.
Pierre Gasly: “I am delighted to continue my journey with Alpine on a long-term basis. As a Frenchman, it is a particular honor for me to compete for a national car manufacturer. Since joining the team in 2023, I have felt that this was the right place for my future. The support and trust shown by Flavio Briatore, the commitment of François Provost to the Formula 1 project, and the professionalism of the staff in Enstone made my decision an easy one. I want to remain a part of Alpine for many years and fully share the team’s ambitions to win races and fight for championships. I look forward with excitement to the continuation of this special story.”
Flavio Briatore: “Since my return to Alpine, I have consistently emphasized the importance of strengthening the team and enhancing its competitiveness. We are preparing for a new era of Formula 1, beginning in 2026, and we now have a confirmed leader ready to guide us forward.Pierre has become a pivotal figure for Alpine during this challenging period. His determination, professionalism, and talent command respect, and together we look to the future of this project with confidence.”
