Gasly Finally Receives Monaco Grand Prix Podium Trophy
Red Bull Racing has handed Pierre Gasly the trophy for third place at the Monaco Grand Prix following the reinstatement of his result after a review of the penalties he received. The Alpine driver had originally been dropped from the podium to seventh place after being handed two five-second penalties, but his team successfully challenged the decision, resulting in the Frenchman being restored to third position.
The trophy, which had initially been presented to Isack Hadjar during the podium ceremony, was handed over to Gasly ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix weekend. The French driver later shared a photograph of the long-awaited award on social media.
However, the final classification of the Monaco Grand Prix has yet to be definitively settled, as Red Bull Racing and McLaren have both lodged appeals that could still impact the final standings.
