Gasly & Colapinto Speak Out on Upcoming Baku Race

Alpine team drivers have commented on the upcoming Azerbaijan weekend and shared their expectations for the race.

Pierre Gasly: “Setting up the car in Baku continues to be a demanding task, as achieving the right balance between downforce and top speed is essential. We will work toward the optimal setup during Friday’s practice sessions, though anything can happen on this challenging street circuit.“

Last week was productive: I spent time at the team base, trained on the simulator, and discussed setup details with the engineers. I also participated in the Padel Event in Paris with Alpine a sport I really enjoy, and the experience was very rewarding.

Franco Colapinto: “I am excited to return to Baku, where I scored my first Formula 1 points last season. I feel confident in the car now, although the Monza round was difficult for the team. Last week, I visited Enstone to prepare thoroughly for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Baku is one of the most visually striking circuits on the calendar, particularly the narrow section in the old town. This weekend, it will be crucial to make the most of every opportunity this demanding layout offers and to start the overseas portion of the season with a strong result for the team.”
