Haas to Run F1 Test in Japan

The Haas F1 Team will travel to Japan in August, where Toyota drivers Ryo Hirakawa and Sho Tsuboi will take to the track in the 2023-spec VF-23 car.

The event will be held on August 6–7 at the Fuji Speedway.

On the first day, Hirakawa, who serves as Haas’ reserve driver, will take the wheel. He will later be followed by Sho Tsuboi on track. For 30-year-old Japanese driver Tsuboi, who races with Toyota Gazoo Racing, this will mark his first-ever experience driving a Formula 1 car.

In addition to Haas’ engineers and mechanics, technical staff from Toyota Motor Corporation will also participate in the test.

This event presents an excellent opportunity for Toyota specialists to gain hands-on experience at the Formula 1 level.
