Aysak Hadjar will officially become Max Verstappen’s new teammate at Red Bull Racing for the 2026 season, moving up from Racing Bulls and replacing Yuki Tsunoda, who will remain as a test and reserve driver.
Laurent Mekies highlighted Tsunoda’s contributions: “He has spent seven years with our family, demonstrating consistency and speed, and has become a favorite among everyone. We thank him for his contributions and are confident he will continue to support our new projects in 2026.” About Hadjar, he added: “Aysak has shown maturity and pure pace. We believe that together with Max, he can achieve remarkable results on track.”
Hadjar himself expressed gratitude to the team: “This is a tremendous opportunity to compete at the highest level. Thanks to Racing Bulls, I have learned a lot and achieved my first podium. I feel ready for Red Bull Racing and am looking forward to working closely with Max.”
