Hadjar’s Cracked Trophy Replaced
Isack Hadjar, who celebrated his first Formula 1 podium in Zandvoort with Racing Bulls, accidentally damaged the porcelain trophy awarded for his third-place finish. However, the organizers of the Dutch Grand Prix assured that the driver will receive a replacement a new trophy is already being crafted by the artisans of Royal Delft.
“Ceramics is a beautiful yet fragile material. Most likely, the trophy was placed on an uneven surface, which led to the crack,” explained a representative of the promoters.
This is the first such incident in the three years since porcelain trophies have been presented in Zandvoort. Royal Delft confirmed that a replacement is already in production, while the broken trophy will remain with Hadjar as a keepsake.
For the 20-year-old Frenchman, this podium marked his Formula 1 debut and the team’s first top-three finish since 2021, as well as only the sixth in its history dating back to Minardi’s debut in 1985.
