Hamilton Makes Ferrari History in Barcelona
The Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix marked Lewis Hamilton’s 31st race with Ferrari, with the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion securing an emotional and long-awaited victory to the delight of the crowd in Montmelo.
Hamilton said the result was the product of extensive work from the entire team, both at the track and at the Maranello factory. He thanked Ferrari leadership and team principal Fred Vasseur for their trust and support, stressing that he had always believed such a breakthrough was possible.
The British driver added that the win carried particular significance, having grown up watching Ferrari’s success and dreaming of winning in a red car.
He also praised the team’s execution, strategy, and pit stops, noting that the progress achieved had come through continuous development and strong mutual trust.
