Hamilton Named World’s Most Marketable Athlete of 2025

SportsPro Media has released its annual ranking of the world’s most marketable athletes the “50 Most Marketable Athletes” list. In 2025, the ranking was once again topped by Lewis Hamilton, who previously held the number one position in 2014. This achievement highlights his enduring popularity and influence both within motorsport and beyond.

The list features representatives of 12 sports and 17 countries, with footballers and basketball players making up the largest groups. SportsPro experts evaluated each athlete based on three key criteria:brand strength, audience appeal, and commercial potential.

In addition to Hamilton, the ranking includes two other Formula 1 drivers Charles Leclerc, ranked 25th, and Lando Norris, placed 41st. Their inclusion underscores the growing business interest in Formula 1 drivers and the sport’s increasing global appeal among major brands.
