Hamilton to Miss Ferrari Suspension Test
Ferrari to Test New Rear Suspension System at Mugello on July 16
Ferrari is set to trial a new rear suspension system on July 16 at the Mugello circuit. The Scuderia retained second place in the Constructors' Championship following the race at Silverstone and is aiming to introduce technical upgrades to ensure consistent performance throughout the remainder of the season.
While Ferrari's new suspension concept bears similarities to the version used by Mercedes at Imola, it differs significantly in structural design. The team’s engineers are expected to analyze the data from the Mugello test not only for immediate development but also to inform key decisions ahead of the 2026 regulations overhaul.
One of the notable aspects of the upcoming test is that the team’s star driver, Lewis Hamilton, will not be taking part. According to reports from the Italian media, Charles Leclerc and reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi will take the wheel during the session at the Mugello circuit.
