Isack Hadjar to Start Italian GP from the Pit Lane
September 7, 2025
Isack Hadjar has received a new power unit and will start tomorrow’s Grand Prix from the pit lane.
The Racing Bulls driver had qualified 16th, but the team opted to install a fresh power unit, which automatically triggered a severe penalty. For the Franco-Algerian racer, this marks his fifth power unit of the season, exceeding the regulatory limit of four, making the sanction unavoidable.
As a result, instead of lining up on the eighth row of the grid, Hadjar will be forced to begin the race from the pit lane a setback that will significantly complicate his chances of fighting for points. Racing Bulls emphasized that the change was necessary to ensure reliability and consistency for the remainder of the championship.
