The 2025 Italian Grand Prix at Monza delivered a high-speed, action-packed spectacle for fans.

Starting from pole, Max Verstappen briefly lost the lead to Lando Norris in the opening laps but reclaimed first place on lap three and never looked back.The battle for the podium remained tense, with Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri trading positions multiple times, while Lewis Hamilton fought his way into the top six.

The race was not without retirements and penalties: Nico Hulkenberg retired on the formation lap, Fernando Alonso was forced out with suspension damage, Oliver Bearman was penalized for a collision with Carlos Sainz, and Andrea Antonelli also received sanctions for track infractions.

In the end, Verstappen took the victory his third of the season, the 66th of his career, and his first under the leadership of Laurent Mekies. Norris finished second, while championship leader Piastri secured third place.

The race entered the history books as the fastest full-distance Grand Prix ever completed in Formula 1. With the European leg of the season now over, eight flyaway rounds remain, beginning with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku in two weeks’ time.
