Kick Sauber Rebrands for Dutch GP
August 21, 2025
As was the case last year, the Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber will be required to modify its official name during the Dutch Grand Prix, removing any reference to one of its main sponsors Stake.
In 2024, the Dutch gambling authority (KSA) issued a firm statement, emphasizing that a team bearing the name of an online casino operator is not permitted to participate in the event. Stake does not hold a license to operate in the Netherlands, and its website is geo-blocked for users in the country. Nevertheless, the KSA maintains that even indirect advertising of Stake during the Zandvoort Grand Prix particularly through the team's name constitutes a violation of local legislation and the regulations governing gambling promotion.
