Lando Norris Impressed by Indianapolis Motor Speed
Following a disappointing retirement at the Canadian Grand Prix caused by transmission issues, Lando Norris travelled to Indianapolis, where he visited the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first time after the Indy 500 race held the previous day.
During his visit, the British driver was accompanied by American racer Conor Daly. Norris toured the circuit’s museum, met Roger Penske, participated in filming activities alongside Zak Brown and completed a lap of the oval in a Chevrolet Corvette driven by Arrow McLaren team principal Tony Kanaan.
Norris admitted that the circuit left a huge impression on him, particularly given the history of the Indy 500, which he described as one of the greatest races in world motorsport. The McLaren driver also congratulated Felix Rosenqvist on his victory and praised the strategic complexity that makes the event so unique.
In addition, Norris revealed that he would not rule out competing in the Indy 500 himself one day. According to the British driver, he is passionate about many forms of motorsport and believes the idea of pursuing motorsport’s “Triple Crown” is becoming increasingly appealing.
