Lando Norris:From Third Place to World Champion

Lando Norris became the 35th Formula 1 World Champion: in Abu Dhabi, a third-place finish was enough to secure the title.The season was far from easy strong rivals, intense races yet Lando prevailed and could not hold back his tears after the finish.

“I haven’t cried like this in a long time! The journey was long, and I am grateful to the entire McLaren team, my parents, and everyone who has supported me from the very beginning. This title is the result of all our hard work,” Lando said.

“Competing with Max and Oscar was an honor, and I learned a lot from them. Today on the track, I was in third position, but thoughts of the championship never left me. Only in the last few laps did I finally relax a little, though I continued to push until the very end,” the champion added.

“What I experienced this year is something few achieve in Formula 1.Nine years with McLaren have been full of challenges and joys, and now I am proud of the team and myself. I hope they, too, could not hold back their tears!”
