Lewis Hamilton:‘Racing for Ferrari at Monza Is Unbelievable’

Lewis Hamilton reflects on Italian GP qualifying

Lewis Hamilton qualified fifth for the Italian Grand Prix and expressed his satisfaction with the progress made by Ferrari in recent weeks. Despite carrying a grid penalty from the previous round in Zandvoort, which will see him start tenth, the seven-time world champion remained optimistic about his prospects for Sunday’s race.

“I am genuinely very pleased with the progress we have made, particularly on my side of the garage. Already last weekend we looked more competitive, and here we have taken another step forward the gap to my teammate is within just a tenth of a second. The improvement is clear, but we must keep pushing and continue the work.

Competing at Monza as a Ferrari driver is an incredible feeling. I honestly do not have the words to fully describe it. The atmosphere is fantastic: the fans generate such unique energy, and we have felt their support since the event in Milan on Wednesday. When you leave the pit lane and see the grandstands on both sides of the track covered in red, it is truly unforgettable.

I cannot say for certain what result will be possible in the race, but I will give everything to fight my way forward.”
