Lindblad Impresses in Debut Practice Session at Mexico GP
Arvid Lindblad proved to be the only one among the nine debutants to outperform his more experienced teammate during the opening practice session of the Mexican Grand Prix. Red Bull Motorsport Advisor Helmut Marko praised the young Briton for his confident performance, highlighting his maturity and precise technical feedback on the car’s setup.
According to Marko, Lindblad had been given a clear directive prior to the session to avoid taking unnecessary risks and to stay clear of mistakes. Despite this pressure, he performed admirably, emerging as the fastest among the newcomers. However, the Red Bull representative declined to officially confirm a contract with the driver for the upcoming season, stating only that the final decision is close to being made.
Marko also added that the team was pleased with the car’s pace during the first session and is optimistic about maintaining competitive form throughout the remainder of the race weekend.
