McNish Leads Audi F1 in New Role

Alan McNish has been officially appointed as Racing Director of Audi. He will be responsible for overseeing the team’s trackside operations, including race strategy, coordination with engineers and drivers, sporting decisions, and pit operations management. He will assume his duties at the Miami Grand Prix.

McNish will report directly to Mattia Binotto, who has taken on the role of Executive Director and Head of Audi’s Formula 1 project.

Binotto stated that McNish’s experience, technical expertise, and leadership qualities will strengthen the team’s position. McNish described his new role as a great honor and emphasized that he will focus on enhancing the team’s competitiveness and further developing the project.
