Middle East Airspace Chaos Hits F1 Circus Travel

Over 2,000 personnel from the Formula 1 “Big Circus” including F1, F2, and F3 teams, FOM camera crews, FIA officials, and journalists are currently seeking alternative routes to Melbourne ahead of the season opener. Due to the closure of airspace over several Middle Eastern countries, many airlines, including Qatar Airways and Emirates, are unable to operate flights.

To reach the race on time, managers are rebooking tickets via Singapore, Hong Kong, or Perth with domestic connections to Australia’s east coast. Organizers are prepared to adjust the weekend schedule if necessary, although no official changes are planned at this time.
