“No Regrets”:Hamilton Shuts Down Doubts About Ferrari Switch
At the FIA press conference in Qatar, Lewis Hamilton was unusually reserved. He was asked to clarify his recent remark that he was “not looking forward to next season.”
Hamilton explained: “At the end of the year everyone is exhausted. I was upset after the race when I said that. In reality, I am interested in what the team is preparing for next season, and I’m fully involved in the car’s development.”
When asked whether Ferrari had made progress in the recent rounds, Hamilton’s response was brief: “No.”
He was equally restrained when speaking about his first season with the Scuderia: “I haven’t drawn any conclusions I’m just moving forward. There are positive aspects, and we will carry them with us.”
Among those positives, Hamilton highlighted: “I’ve built a strong working relationship with the team. Everyone is driven by genuine passion.”
What did he learn over the past year? “To get back up after setbacks and keep moving forward.”
Hamilton also rejected suggestions that he regrets joining Ferrari. When asked whether he would sign the contract again knowing how the season would turn out, he replied: “Yes. I don’t regret anything. Building a strong team always takes time and I was prepared for that.”
