Noel Leon Claims Formula 2 Pole Position in Austria

Bulgarian driver Nikola Tsolov continued his impressive debut Formula 2 campaign by securing third place in qualifying for the Austrian round. The Campos Racing driver and Red Bull Junior Team member has already claimed three victories this season and currently sits second in the championship standings, just six points behind leader Gabriele Minì.

Tsolov was aiming to secure his maiden Formula 2 pole position at the Red Bull Ring, but the fastest time ultimately went to Noel Leon, who posted a lap of 1:15.544. Alex Dunne qualified second, while Tsolov finished third, earning a second-row start for Sunday's feature race.

Tsolov will line up alongside championship rival Mini on the starting grid, setting the stage for another crucial battle in the title fight. With overtaking opportunities available at the Red Bull Ring, an intense contest is expected. Sebastian Montoya will start Saturday's sprint race from pole position under Formula 2's reverse-grid format.
