Norris Dominates Interlagos Weekend

Formula 1 braced for a challenging weekend in Interlagos due to the weather, but the overnight typhoon had little impact the track dried up, and the schedule proceeded as planned.

Once again, the standout performer was Lando Norris. The McLaren driver dominated every session, topping practice, sprint qualifying, and the sprint race itself, before securing pole position for Sunday’s Grand Prix his 15th career pole and sixth of the season. His teammate, Oscar Piastri, had a less successful outing, retiring from the sprint after a mistake on a damp section of the track.

Qualifying brought its share of surprises:both Red Bull cars failed to advance to the second segment, while Oliver Bearman of Haas emerged as the session’s revelation, consistently running among the leaders and outperforming several top drivers.

In the final stage, Norris delivered a decisive lap, clocking a time of 1:09.511 to once again prove untouchable. He will share the front row with Kimi Antonelli, followed by Leclerc, Piastri, Hadjar, and Russell.
