The session at Zandvoort began with the anticipation of rain, but the brief showers quickly passed without affecting track conditions. Lance Stroll was the first to bring out a red flag he locked up in Turn 3 and crashed into the barrier.Although uninjured, he was sent to the medical center for a precautionary check due to a triggered g-force sensor.

After the session resumed, Isack Hadjar stopped on track due to a loss of power, and Lewis Hamilton spun his car remained undamaged, though the tyre set was ruined. Shortly after, Alex Albon went off at Turn 1 and hit the barriers, bringing out another red flag.Later, George Russell made light contact with Oscar Piastri in the pit lane while returning under red flag conditions.

As the weather improved, the final 15 minutes of the session ran without incident. Lando Norris posted the fastest time of 1:09.890.

In the second session, the Virtual Safety Car was briefly deployed for system testing. Yuki Tsunoda went off track, and Kimi Antonelli stopped due to a mechanical issue, causing another red flag. After the restart, Pierre Gasly impeded Hamilton on a flying lap.

By the end of the session, clouds had gathered, but no rain followed. Once again, Norris topped the timesheets with a lap of 1:10.278, three tenths ahead of Piastri. At the very end, Max Verstappen went off at Turn 1 and became stuck in the gravel his car had to be recovered.
