Norris Takes Brazil Sprint Pole

Weather may once again play a decisive role in the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend a typhoon is expected to hit Sao Paulo on Saturday night, although Friday delighted fans with sunshine and packed grandstands.

The only practice session went smoothly, while in Sprint qualifying Lando Norris once again shone, repeating last year’s success and taking pole with a time of 1:09.627. Starting alongside him on the Sprint grid will be Kimi Antonelli, with Oscar Piastri securing third.

In the second segment of qualifying, Fernando Alonso set the fastest time, but in the final session it was Norris who came out on top, claiming his fourth career Sprint pole. The top six starters are: Norris, Antonelli, Piastri, Russell, Alonso, and Verstappen.
