Norris Visits Valentino Rossi’s Team in Italy
Lando Norris has frequently stated that Valentino Rossi played a key role in shaping his motorsport career: if he hadn’t developed a passion for motorcycles and admired “The Doctor,” he might never have pursued racing. In 2021,Norris met the nine-time world champion, and since then they have built a warm and friendly relationship.
Their most recent meeting took place last weekend in Misano during the San Marino Grand Prix. Norris shared photos with Rossi on social media, captioning them: “Anyone who said you shouldn’t meet your idols clearly hasn’t met Vale!”
After his podium finish in Monza, Norris visited the Aprilia factory in Noale and met reigning world champion Jorge Martin. Yet the visit that left the strongest impression was to VR46 Racing Team Rossi’s own outfit, competing in MotoGP on Ducati machinery.
As a tribute to Rossi, Norris previously designed his helmet in the iconic yellow color long associated with the MotoGP legend. The 46-year-old Italian continues to race actively in endurance competitions for Team WRT, while still making time to appear in the Formula 1 paddock.
