Pirelli to Bring Softer C6 Tyre Compound to Imola Grand Prix

RaceBrief.com reports that Pirelli will supply the C6 tyre compound for the Imola and Miami Grands Prix this season — a shift from last year’s selection.

According to Pirelli Motorsport Director Mario Isola, the decision reflects the drivers' improved ability to manage tyre wear and performance:

"In the most recent race at Suzuka, drivers expressed satisfaction with how they were able to run longer stints on the tyres. As an official partner of the Formula 1 World Championship, we are making a conscious effort to adapt accordingly."

The introduction of the softer C6 compound is expected to influence tyre strategies at both Imola and Miami, potentially leading to more varied and dynamic pit stop tactics during the race weekends.
