Post-Race Penalties Alter F2 Sprint Results
F2 Sprint Results in Hungary Revised Following Post-Race Penalties
José María Martí claimed victory in Saturday’s Formula 2 sprint race in Hungary, but the final classification was revised after the race due to a series of incidents reviewed by the stewards.
Arvid Lindblad, who originally crossed the line in fourth place, was handed a five-second time penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage while overtaking Victor Martins. A similar penalty was issued to Luke Browning, who finished fifth, for executing an off-track pass on Martins as well.
Meanwhile, the stewards investigated the actions of José María Martí and Alex Dunne during the safety car period but found no breaches of the regulations. As a result, their first and second place finishes remain unchanged
