Renovation Work Starts at Mexico GP Track

Organisers of the Mexico City Grand Prix have begun a major redevelopment project at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. Approximately 202 million pesos have been allocated for upgrades to the circuit and its infrastructure.

As part of the renovation, the track layout will remain unchanged, although the circuit will receive a new asphalt surface, an upgraded drainage system, and modernised kerbs. In addition, refurbishment work is planned for the pit complex and paddock area.

The reconstruction project officially began on May 11 and will be carried out in phases to avoid disrupting other events hosted at the venue. Organisers aim to complete all work ahead of the Mexico City Grand Prix at the end of October.
