Russell Seals £30M Mercedes Contract

After extensive negotiations between George Russell and the Mercedes team regarding a contract extension, an agreement has been reached and officially signed. It appears that the driver was particularly successful in securing favorable terms.

As Russell requested, he has obtained a two-year contract: for the 2026 season, with an option to extend into 2027, contingent upon certain conditions that have not yet been disclosed. The financial details have also been made public a significant £30 million (approximately $40 million) per year, ranking him third in salary behind Max Verstappen (£45 million) and Lewis Hamilton (£40 million).
