It is generally considered inappropriate to count other people’s money, especially when it comes to racing drivers, but Racingnews365 has nonetheless compiled a ranking of the wealthiest drivers in the history of motorsport.

Michael Schumacher tops the list, with his fortune estimated at nearly $790 million. He is followed by two active Formula 1 stars: Lewis Hamilton, whose net worth is estimated at around $304 million, and Fernando Alonso with $264 million, who, despite having fewer titles, is clearly doing very well financially.
